Mastering The Red Pout!

For this season the hottest new trend for Spring/Summer 2015 is red lips. The biggest challenge to some is mastering the red pout. Even when you stare at the mirror hoping your look will end up being old Hollywood glam, it ends up a complete disaster. The magic to getting those flirty sexy lips is to identify what shade of rouge works for you. Not all reds are created equal so before you purchase a red lipstick, here is some helpful advice. Know what your skin undertone is, if you have a darker skin then your more of a warmer undertone. If you are paler then you identify with having a cooler undertone.

For awhile, the pros at fashion week were not using red lipstick, it wasn’t until Mac’s Ruby Woo went from being a secret of the brand’s vast collection, to the best selling, sold out, must have that it is today. I mention this brand because it’s absolutely amazing. If you are looking for a truer red then Ruby Woo by MAC is the lipstick for you. It comes as a matte finish and can really show off a sensual red pout. This lipstick lasts for up to 8 hours on your lips. If you want to have it last even longer, use a lip pencil first then apply the lipstick, you will be ready for a Hollywood close up in no time. Important fact, this lipstick can be drying on the lips so defiantly moisturize your lips before you apply the lipstick.

If you prefer a more orange red try Mac's Russian Red, its perfect for both undertones also its a matte finish that will add an extra sizzle to your pout. If you want to sex up your look, try a lip liner to go with your lipstick. Outline your lips down to the center it doesn’t have to be perfect; it just helps your lipstick stay on longer. Rimmel London’s Lady Danger is perfect substitute if you are on a budget.
For those of you who wish to spend a little more money, try Chanel Rouge CoCo Lipstick its a unique blend of alluring rose, a hint of infusion of spicy reds that really get your senses tingling. You can wear this lipstick without a liner and it has this nice satin finish.

The only downside is you spend a little more money then you really want to. If you bought 3 MAC lipsticks, it would be equivalent to the price of one Chanel lipstick. I think if you desire a less bright lip but still have more power, go for a true red with cooler tones. A statement red would have warmer tones and be more orange.

Once you have found the perfect rouge, you can add some excitement into your life by sporting a red carpet ready, zesty pout for any day of the week. Apply your lipstick starting at the center of the lips and working outward to the sides.

Once you have covered the whole lip, press them together and then finish by pressing a sheet of tissue in between your lips to blot. If you require a stronger look, re-apply the lipstick and blot again. To add a glossy shine to your lips, try putting a dab of clear lip-gloss in the center of the lips for a unique feel that extends the life of your colour. Get your pout on ladies and see if you to can master the sexy pout.
