Feeling Low? Olive Green Will Lift Your Mood

Bringing the beauty of nature into your wardrobe, Olive green has burst onto the scene for spring & summer.

Warm and natural, soothing and serene, it’s the perfect tone to really take your overall mood up a notch. This tone is everlasting, with earthy textures of an intense forest to a ripe olive at the bottom of a gleaming clear bottle. We instantly feel protected, relaxed, and even inspired.

Colours can really effect how we are feeling on a daily basis. If you look at adds, anytime happy music is played and the images are carried away with explosive colours, it creates this excited uplifting sensation. It has the same effect with certain tones that make us trigger a natural emotion.

The amount of luxe in the hue adds a note of luxury to your style. Olive green brings depth of flavour to a fabulous accessory, the colour goes with everything and adds a classy feel to the colour scheme that is always stylish and up to date, with a mixture of a retro element.

No matter what style tribe you subscribe to, there’s an olive-green outfit that will speak volumes to you. From bold trend-forward outfits to polished classics and everything in between, you can definitely find something in this hue that will inspire you to mix the green shade into your spring and summer outfit rotation.
For the bold, mix other colours while playful directing the spotlight on olive green, with this chic top.
If you are looking into introducing olive into your style inspiration with stronger colours already in the mix, think of it as a base colour. Introduce shades of green like shoes, bags, jewellery, so that you bridge the mixture of colours together.
When you already love the hue, try a green hat. It instantly takes your style to a dressy place.
Adding a stand out piece, like a bold olive-green jacket, or bag, will really have a statement making look.

It is so simple, yet you keep your eyes directed to that gorgeous hue. In turn, it has this regal and powerful explosion of chic influences.

You may find this colour of green to be a bit intimidating. It really isn’t when you just pair it bit by bit. Unless, you are the type that just wears it consistently it will not feel so overwhelming. Of course, I adore this tone and I find it to be a nice change to a typical colour for this season.
Don't over think this colour. Just throw something on like a great pair of pants and go.
The best news? I have complied a few olive-green items below you can shop and enjoy for spring and summer. Shopping always lifts the mood and so does this green shade.

Why the Little Wrap Dress is having it's moment

Take a moment to think about how you use your social media. When you’re not posting photos yourself, do you scroll through your feed out of curiosity, to see if something new catches your eye? Let’s face facts, it takes 5 seconds to impress someone especially in this digital age. So, you better have the most fascinating photo or video on earth. Otherwise, you will just end up with egg on your face.

Of course, for me the moment I stop and like or comment on a photo is when it has a unique charm that fascinates me. In a world, full of people trying too hard to be like everyone else, people miss out on being an individual. If someone does something unusual it immediately catches my interest. That, and I am a massive lover of a classic style. Not only can you get a lot of use out of a timeless piece, but you can have it for years to come. And always find a time to take it out and wear it for that awesome occasion.

A lot of people purchase things because of influencers. However, there’s another trend we’ve started to take note of since it has been popping up on everyone’s feeds. Though, I wouldn’t really call a wrap dress a “trend” mainly because it is a classic style that just came back to the mainstream of fashion. It has been in style for years. Just like the little black dress, it seems the little wrap dress is having its moment for 2019.

Although it is often claimed that Diane von Furstenberg ‘invented’ the wrap dress in 1970s, Richard Martin, a former curator of the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, noted that the form of Furstenberg’s design had already been “deeply embedded into the American designer sportswear tradition,” with her choice of elastic, synthetic fabrics distinguishing her work from earlier wrap dresses.

Furstenberg’s interpretation of the wrap dress, which was consistently knee-length, in a clingy jersey material, with long sleeves, was so popular and so distinctive that the style has generally become associated with her. She has stated that her divorce inspired the design, and also suggested it was created in the spirit of enabling women to enjoy sexual freedom. In 2004 a book dedicated to Furstenberg’s wrap dress was published.

The wrap dress is a dress with a front closure formed by wrapping one side across the other, and knotting the attached ties that wrap around the back at the waist or fastening buttons. This forms a V-shaped neckline and hugs the wearers body. It is such a classic style, that has been adopted by every single brand around the world.

It comes with an easy style that is comfortable, elegant, and current at the same time, making it the perfect style to wear to casual or dressy events. Bonus: the added details of the designs can really catch your eye, and work with your accessories you plan to add into the style mix.

What makes this dress even more irresistible, is the idea you have so many colours, patterns, solids, fabrics, to choose from. With spring and summer already here, you can pick something light and delicate. While saving a night on the town for a more viper exterior.

I have never been a fan of all trends, but I will say I am loving an ever-green item coming back into the spotlight.
