There are certain style tricks I’ve discovered throughout my years as an editor that definitively help me tackle life’s pesky little obsolesces. An incredibly glamourous handbag can elevate your outfit tremendously, while diverting the attention from not being a morning person. A sleek pair of heels is your instant saviour when you feel down, for complete sex appeal.

And a pair of bold earrings will distract from a potentially bad hair day. This one I use on occasion, when you just don’t feel the need to style your hair. Who really has time? The best solution is a messy natural hair look. Like you just woke up looking fabulous. But mainly because I have fallen in love with bold statement earrings.

I think every woman should have at least one statement blouse in their wardrobe. It’s the quickest way to add glamour in your life. Time goes by rather fast! It seems like yesterday; Christmas songs were blasting in shops & massive crowds pounded the pavements. Trying so desperately to find the perfect gift. I love this festive season, now comes the new year.

When it comes to design, settling for less just isn’t an option. No longer are people asking for walk in wardrobes but instead, Dream Dressing Rooms. This chic concept is so hot on the menu it is burning up the internet. Women everywhere are saving inspirational photos from their Pinterest accounts. Who wouldn’t do that right? We all enjoy a beautiful photo now and then. And when it comes to design, why not be your own interior designer.

The golden era can only be shared with a romantic twist. A mood that transforms you into an electrified junkie. Synthesizers echoed through the metallic age of energetic anthems, big hair, tight colourful clothes, and beats we can’t get enough of. Who am I describing? The Foxies of course.

As an artist, the common goal is to inspire your audience with moments we treasure, adventures we go on, and spark inspiration in our souls. Music in 2017, is becoming rather lukewarm. Artists of all genres are starting to sound the same and by today’s standards noise is to be accepted.

The weather outside may be frightful, but the style is so delightful. From oversized tailored coats to metallic tops, the fashion this season is really heating up. As we step into Christmas, there is a new pair of femininity and ease, mixed with glamour in fashion as metallic fabrics tease us with the allure of joy and magic this season, while keeping us ready for wherever the weather may take us. Comfort dressing is elevated from a downtown favourite into an all-occasion staple, while exaggerated silhouettes dominate daywear. For elegance rooted in cool luxury and relaxed strength, now is the time to embrace change, with as much or as little drama as you like.

The idea for this creative issue came to me in the Fall. I was working on many other exciting projects and started to miss doing some thought provoking interviews. I love getting to know the person a bit more and see what is behind their creative image. Have you ever watched an interview on TV or read one online and thought, they ask these questions a lot it feels repetitive? I don’t know about you but I prefer hearing and reading the unexpected. I have gotten to know quite a lot of creative forces in the fashion and art industry. It seems everyone who loves to express themselves wishes to let their voices be heard.

What makes a true artist stand out above the crowd? Someone who can grab your attention without going over the top. If someone tends to come off a bit predictable then you as a consumer will expect the same beige attitude. Sometimes in art and fashion, we take ourselves too seriously, and I think right now is the moment, we need to laugh a bit more about things. Perfection is highly overrated, especially when it comes to the creative industry. It seems more artists in the business, are pulling back from the old fashioned black and white way of thinking. This is a very refreshing sign, especially when artists are starting to express more of who they are through what they love.

It isn’t about the conversations that make an encounter worthwhile, it is about the company you are in that is so appealing. I got to know Nick Burrett through our exclusive interview. Burrett is a fashion photographer in London, born in 1980. A self-taught photographer, who lived in Asia for 5 years, he moved back to the UK and is now based in London. Nick has a fun loving adventurer living deep inside him, who loves coming out in his dynamic work. The leaps he takes through one photograph knows no bounds. What I loved most about his work was he isn’t a typical fashion photographer, shooting models and going about his life. Instead when you take a closer look at his portfolio you almost feel for a second, you are living his work with him.

It should come as no surprise to anyone that I love lipstick products. I love the bold reds, dark plum, and berry colours. They have such a cool tone and really can go from day to night if worn correctly. Even though I am a bold girl when it comes to style and individuality, what I love most is trying something completely new. To my delight I was contacted by Charlotte Tilbury to try a new lipstick from the hot lips collection. I have always been a fan of lipsticks since they are convenient to travel with and make putting on makeup a breeze.

What will the 2017 shows bring to the fashion world? It’s anyone’s guess. Like the anticipation of the new IPhone 7 coming out for September, it seems many people just don’t care what is hot in the trending market. Let’s face it, there’s no sure fire predication to be made when it comes to the new styles. Do we really even like new? Or are we constantly finding ourselves sticking to old faithful that never fails us? What is old is new again but can that truly make us hungry for buyer consumption? Being a compulsive buyer is never a good habit to have under your belt. This can cause all sorts of issues especially when it comes to your personal finances.

Most of the time, the fashion scene is a source of confusion, with bomber jackets hitting stores during the mid-season take over and romantic blouses landing in shops for the start of fall. It is no wonder we forget the difference between a trend and an ever green style. Classic pieces are at a rare point, when we desire something so simple that can be worn quite often without clashing our individuality. This defiantly isn’t the case when it comes to some outlandish show pieces. I don’t know about you but the last thing on my mind is desiring something with literally a face on it. I don’t know what designers are thinking when it comes to the fall line-up. It is as if they lost all creativity or forgot what it means when it comes to simplicity.

When I was younger, the traditional way women wore clothes was to choose one style and stay faithful to it, so it became almost part of their personality. For example, women decided to stick with what society told them to wear. On a daily basis this came off so controlling. If everyone wore similar clothing choices, then it would defiantly be a boring world. Based on creative images and ideas from fashion houses, like Chloe, YSL, and Chanel these timeless designers embarked on creating iconic silhouettes for women. This bold movement changed our perspective on what fashion means.
